EN-PERFECCION
IN-PERFEZIONE — Ritual of the Unfinished Body
A visceral performance by MATERIA PRIMA
IN-PERFEZIONE traces its roots — and motivations — back to the radical Ankoku-Butō movement born in 1950s Japan, fusing its philosophy of darkness, decay, and transformation with elements of contemporary and experimental theatre.
This performance is not a narrative, but a metamorphic ritual: the performers’ naked bodies, gilded, and smeared with white paint and "light", do not simply represent a state or emotion — they become the medium of mutation itself. A body is never one thing; it is constantly becoming.
Each movement dissolves the boundary between human and elemental, between beauty and discomfort, between flesh and symbol. What emerges is a visual and psychological crescendo, charged with intensity, vulnerability, and silence.
🟠 A meditation on imperfection, ritual, and the body as landscape.
Duration: ~35 minutes
Format: High-definition video
Language-free — for viewers of avant-garde performance, Butoh, and ritual body art.
Witness the gold in the wound. The mud in the miracle. The unfinished in the divine.
